My XP

Postby Tillidus » Tue Nov 17, 2015 8:15 am

Hello guys.
I will get new laptop on Christmas and of course I will play Wolf ET there :)
But I don't want to start again with 630 XP.
I have 200 000 XP on my old computer.
So is it possible that I can transport(i didnt find better word xd) my XP to new computer?
My idea is to copy Wolf ET files to USB but I'm not sure if it will work. So this is why I'm asking you. :)

If you don't want to re-download all your maps and mods, you can backup your entire Wolfenstein ET game.

If you want to get a fresh game but keep your exp and admin level, go into your ETmain folder and save your etkey file.

It should be in C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\ETmain\etkey.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask ;)

Cheers

thats the way I did it when I changed my PC.. just copy and your ETkey and backup it somewhere (maybe send it to your email) after that download wolfenstein on your new computer.. you should have a fresh game now.. if you paste the key now to ETmain folder your profile should be back in the bussiness :D :D

I was applying for the F|A clan, but its to big, to many captains on the ship and they realy should adjust their application rules. I have downloaded the et game from their site and this is adjusted to there liking in a way that when i connect with the et icon all their servers and options come up instead of the default mainscreen. So, it is maybe a good idea to do a fresh download and install or copy etkey from the excisting files?

Yes, you can always do a fresh install.
In this case, don't forget to save your etkey (xp + level). At the end, just put your old etkey your etmain folder.

Also, you can try to remove all files in all mods (including etmain) starting by ~~~~~~~~ and zzz (.pk3) to clean all the useless stuff you downloaded.
This option allow you to keep all the maps you downloaded in your etmain folder but also all your configs (if you made it). :)

I believe there's also a few tools out there that will clear your ET of mods and crap, which will basically make your ET a fresh install.

Or u can just try to delete it in ur ET files?
Just delete the pk3 file from F|A , or delete all pk3 files (no need to delete maps, those are also pk3)
