what is CFG

Cfg is a collection of commands, scripts designed to adjust the game settings (graphics, sound etc) to suit your needs and preference.
Creating your own CFG

The first way to create a cfg file
To create your own cfg enough for us regular Notepad, which is the standard built-in Windows: D Ready cfg recorded in the form of "nazwa.cfg". (To start the game we have to type in the console (~) / exec nazwa.cfg). Facilitated by a name autoexec.cfg. Cfg stored under this name is automatically loaded when to boot the game. The default location of our final placing cfg file is "C: \ Program Files \ Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory \ etmain \ ..."

The second way to create a cfg file

Create a file called autoexec.cfg in etmain, which is located in the folder with the game to do that, go to the folder etmain, and then click the right mouse button and select New-> Text Document and name it AutoExec to change its extension to select Tools-> Folder Options-> View and uncheck Hide extensions for known file types. It is now open autoexec.cfg file with notepad and you can start typing commands to our cfg.

All commands and scripts presented in the following articles, save the cfg file that you just created.

I wouldn't set F1 and F2 fir "Hi" and "Bye" if I were you, since those two keys are for voting. And maybe you could add some colors :P If you need help just ask me :)

If you have your keys at the defaults (e.g. w is to move forwards, f is to use, etc.) Then you can go into your etmain folder and open up "etconfig.cfg", if you look inside this, you can see which keys have stuff "binded" to them. Then you can see which keys are free for you to use. F1 and F2 are the voting keys by default; F1 is for voting yes and F2 is for voting no. ;)
